Power of Attorney and Executor

  • General Power of Attorney is someone you have nominated to make decisions about your finances for a set period of time. As an example you could set up a General Power of Attorney while you are overseas and need to sell your house.

  • Enduring Power of Attorney is someone you have nominated to make personal/health and financial decisions for you when you have lost the ability to make those decisions yourself. The rights of an Enduring Power of Attorney end when you die

  • Executor is a person you have nominated in your will (or your closest family member if there is no will) who is responsible for sorting out your financial affairs after you have died
